Student Commitment
- Maintain at least a 2.5 weighted cumulative GPA
- Meet weekly with a trained volunteer mentor for 30 minutes
- Attend required program events
- Remain drug- and crime-free and make positive choices
Take Stock in Children is a statewide initiative supporting at-risk, low-income students with college tuition scholarships, dedicated volunteer mentors, and the encouragement needed to build a brighter future. FUTURES administers the Volusia County program and raises scholarship funds through community support.
Mentorship, college and career readiness support, and an opportunity to earn a postsecondary scholarship. Eligible scholarship donations are matched dollar-for-dollar through Florida’s Stanley Tate STARS program.
